Thursday 14th September – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch by the Deben - sunny and hot.

What a lovely day, sunny again and warm, managed my exercises in the back garden while Mag went bonkers in the garden, I caught her up a ladder with the long handled cutters trying to sort out the grape vine! Then I packed a picnic to take to the River Deben on the bikes to test out Mags recently repaired stem which was pulling to the left, that has now been cured:) We headed down to Felixstowe prom at the end of our road which was pretty busy but we slowly made our way to The Fludyers and the people gradually thinned out:) Round by the cliff top beach huts and down the windy path the the prom leading to The Dip which is really quiet past the golf course to our spot by the River Deben for our picnic lunch as the tide whizzes out. No seal today just loads of gulls and dunlins with several yahts out making the most of an onshore breeze:) We had a lovely time relaxing enjoying the best that Suffolk has to offer before continuing onto Felixstowe Ferry and out onto the bumy Deben path, at Kings Fleet we take Marsh lane back to Felixstowe, top bike ride, lovely day:) Haircut tomorrow before the Grandson come down on Friday for a family get together to celebrate Mags Birthday on Saturday and then after a lean spell for wind it is looking breezy all next week:) I went down to Felixstowe dock view point to catch the sunset!

PS – was pleased to get 6 pics in the Felixstowe Town Council Autunm Magazine:)
